Murmure relies on open data and open content. These are the sources, their licences and the attributions they require.
1. Data and texts
- POP-Mérimée: the Mérimée database of the French Ministry of Culture (listed monuments), published on the POP open heritage platform. Source: Ministère de la Culture. Licence: Licence Ouverte 2.0 (Etalab), the French Open Licence.
- OpenStreetMap: © OpenStreetMap contributors. Data under the ODbL licence. See openstreetmap.org/copyright. The app shows an OpenFreeMap basemap built on OpenStreetMap.
- Wikipedia: texts under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence; authors are listed in each article's history. Murmure's stories and memos are derived from them (automatic summaries and rewording) and are offered under the same licence. See the Wikipedia reuse terms.
- Wikidata: data released into the public domain (CC0).
- Coverage map on the home page: it shows places from POP-Mérimée and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors).

The photographs on place pages come from Wikimedia Commons. They were cropped and resized for this site. Each photo is reused under the licence shown below.
